Wikipedia Trails: From Scott Weinger to Game of Thrones I started the trail off with the article about Scott Weinger . For all of us who have seen Full House know him as Steve, DJ Tanner's boyfriend. I was curious to know more about him because just a few years ago I found out he was the voice of Aladdin. I wanted to read up on him to see if I can recognize him in other things I have seen. As I was looking through his Wikipedia page, I saw that he has voiced Aladdin in so many different movies and even the TV show Aladdin (which I didn't know existed).  From there I went to the article about Tom Holland . I love Tom Holland! I think he is such an amazing actor and has really brought the character of Spider-Man to life. I knew he had a background in ballet and theater from when he was young so I wanted to see what all he had done before he become Spider-Man. I found out he has another movie coming out this year and three more movies coming out next year. I'm so glad...

I honestly had no idea that OU even switched over to this new Canvas Gradebook. I guess I'm just that oblivious? I don't know. But as I read the instructions for the tech tip and applied to the gradebook, I did see how changing the display listing can be really useful. I personally like having things in assignment group order or alphabetical order. Sometimes professor just do it all over the place that it actually gets confusing. But I really like this tech tip! I wish I had known about this starting last semester when it actually first started.

Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp from Arabian Nights' Entertainment by Andrew Lang Aladdin is my one of my favorite Disney movies, so I was really excited to read this. When I first start reading, I saw some similarities from the Disney version but I definitely saw a lot more differences as well.  Some big differences I noticed in this version of Aladdin compared to Disney's Aladdin: A magician who pretends to be Aladdin's uncle is the one who tricks him into going into the cave. In Disney's version, it is Jafar who tricks him.  This story of Aladdin has his mom playing a big role whereas in the movie, Aladdin doesn't have any parents. He's an orphan. Storybook Research For last week's project, I was supposed to do an introduction for my Storybook project. However, I was totally lost about what I should write in my introduction. So for this week's Storylab, I decided to do some research to help me get started on that introduction. One book I found while looking up resources is Stories of the Ancient Greeks by Charles D. Shaw. The first chapter of the book is titled " The Gods of Greece ". As I was reading through this chapter, I realized that this would be really great in helping me with the introduction. I could use quite a few things from this chapter as inspiration. This chapter also served as an introduction to this book so that is also a bonus. I have somewhat of an idea on how I want to set the scene for the introduction. The author also introduces the gods in this chapter by using imagery. Arabian Nights:  The Story of the Young King of the Black Isles from The Arabian Nights' Entertainments by Andrew Lang "Stories from the Arabian Nights". I have to be honest, it was mostly because I love Aladdin and I knew Aladdin came from the Arabian Nights stories.  One story that I really liked from Part A was The Story of the Young King of the Black Isles.  This story is about a king who finds out that his wife doesn't love him anymore and the events that occur after that. The King, who isn't named in the story, finds out one day while he is being fanned by two of her maids that she doesn't love him anymore. They say that she wants to kill him if she could because she is an enchantress. The king watches her and finds out its true when he badly wounds one of her favorite slaves. Senioritis is a Pain We all know what it is. We've all been through it. Senioritis has definitely been hitting me hard lately. And it's only week 6 of this semester. I feel like I have so much to do that I just put it off thinking I'll do it later and then I run out of time. And that is the story of my life right there.  For the last few weeks of reading, I think I've only done Part A because I always run out of time to read the other part. This last week's reading I actually found really interesting because it was about Ancient Egypt. However, it took me a while to read Part B because I just wasn't that interested in those stories and so I missed that assignment. I hope I am able to read both parts for this week's reading.  I didn't really have any other writings last week except for the story in this class.
